CEILING PAINTING IN WINNIPEG MB
Ceilings are part of every room in your home and can have many different textures, heights, angles, obstructions to remove or paint around and accents. They are the hardest area to make look good as lighting can expose any imperfections quite easily. Although interior ceiling painting isn’t complicated, it takes patience to get just right. Prepare with the Right Tools
PREPARING FOR CEILING PAINTING
1. Get the Right Paint
Depending on the room you will want to use the appropriate paint. For a bedroom low sheen ordinary acrylic will do. In a kitchen or bathroom you may want to consider a higher sheen paint for cleaning that has mould resistant properties to it.
2. Prepare the Space
Always paint the ceiling before the walls, and always cover everything below the ceiling with drop cloths or plastic. Try to empty the room completely to make the job easier. Also, try to remove overhead light fixtures. If you cannot remove fixtures, use painters tape to protect them from spatter or use your brush to cut around them carefully.
Now that the room is prepared and protected we are good to apply the paint. This can either be done by brush and roller or by airless sprayer.
